Studio Policies

  • No fire, fireworks, smoke, or smoke bombs.

  • No glitter, but please contact us about paper confetti.

  • Food photography is allowed, but again, please contact us in advance.

  • Any set-up or take-down needed for your shoot must take place during your reserved time, so please plan accordingly!

  • Retail products cannot be used in shoots or as props in shoots before purchase.

  • Please do not touch or move security cameras.

  • No smoking or vaping on premises.

  • Please return the space to the condition you found it in when you are finished.

  • Put it back where you got it.

 FAQs

  • We do not offer refunds for cancelled reservations. However, with at least a 24 hour notice, we are happy to reschedule your reservation for a future date.

  • We book reservations with only a small window of time in between, so we ask that you please remain conscious of the time remaining during your reservation. If there is no reservation immediately following your booked time, we can extend your session by an hour - for the normal fee - but we cannot guarantee availability for any extension.

  • Yes! We require at least 24 hours notice, but we are happy to reschedule your reservation for a future date. However, with less than 24 hours notice the reservation fee is non-refundable and any future reservation will incur a new reservation fee.

  • 100%! You can definitely bring your own equipment and props. However, we ask that you please contact us in advance if you would like to bring anything furniture sized or if you would like to set up an extensive “set space.”

  • Yes! We encourage the celebration of the human body through tasteful and artistic photography. Nudity, actual or implied, and transparent or provocative clothing are allowed within designated spaces in the studio. However, we cannot allow pornography of any kind. If you have further questions, please reach out to us!

  • Yes . . . maybe. We cannot guarantee the availability of the time slot immediately following your reserved time, but if it is available we can add that time to your reservation upon request and for the normal fee.

  • Absolutely! We do not currently have any videography or audio equipment available for rent, but you are more than welcome to reserve the studio for video. We are located on a fairly busy street in downtown Ruston, however, and cannot guarantee the level of possible noise contamination.

  • Yes! The air remote will connect your camera to the off camera lighting so that they fire when you take a photo. We currently have air remotes that are compatible with Canon and Nikon cameras and will be adding more soon. You are welcome to bring a flash trigger of your own, but we cannot issue a refund if your equipment is not compatible with our equipment.

  • Of course! We would love to have you! The studio is also the headquarters of Buie Photography and is open Tuesday through Friday 10am-6pm and most Saturdays 10am-3pm. Come and see us anytime we are open or shoot us an email to set up a specific time.

  • Unfortunately our insurance will not allow us to rent equipment for use outside of the studio.

  • We encourage everyone to arrive early for their reservation! Studio space may not be available for setup until the exact time of your reservation, but you are more than welcome to use our meeting area if it is not in use.

  • Without a 24 hour notice to reschedule, your reserved time will remain open and available for you in the studio. We will not book another reservation for that time. So if you are just a few minutes late don’t worry about it. Depending on the length of your reservation we leave it up to your discretion as to how late you wish to arrive if you are running behind.
